Dr. OP Kholwad MBBS , General Physician
No, Telma H is not a beta blocker/calcium channel blocker/diuretic/blood thinner/ace inhibitor. It is angiotensin II receptor blocker (an antihypertensive drug).
Question over 3 years ago
How does Telma H work

Dr. Gaurav MBBS , General Physician
Telma H contains telmisartan which is an antihypertensive drug that works by preventing a chemical (angiotensin II) to bind with a receptor. This causes relaxation of blood vessels, it also prevents the synthesis and release of aldosterone (a hormone whose hyperactivity results in high blood pressure). In this way Telma H decreases the blood pressure.
