Zelcaine

Zelcaine is a prescription medicine that is available as a Injection. It is primarily used for the treatment of Local Anesthesia. Secondary and off-label uses of Zelcaine have also been mentioned below.

Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Zelcaine. Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. This information has been provided in detail in the dosage section.

Zelcaine also has some side effects, the most common being Skin redness. While these are the most often observed Zelcaine side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below. Such side effects of Zelcaine normally do not last long and go away once the treatment is completed. If, however, they worsen or do not go away, please speak with your physician.

It is also important to note that Zelcaine has a Mild effect for pregnant women and Mild effect on lactating mothers. In addition, Zelcaine's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Zelcaine related warnings section.

Individuals suffering from medical conditions like Heart Failure, Liver Disease must refrain from the use of Zelcaine since this can cause severe adverse effects. Some other conditions that can be affected by Zelcaine are listed in the contraindications section below.
