Interaction between Alcohol and Flexinol
It is difficult to say anything about the effect of Flexinol and alcohol. No research has been done on this yet.
Flexinol is primarily not used to treat a common cold and sore throat. It can only relieve cold-related symptoms such as a fever, headache, earache, and aching joints. It doesn't help in relieving cough or stuffy nose.
An overdose occurs when more than the required amount (toxic levels) of [medicine] is taken. Initial symptoms of Flexinol overdose includes loss of appetite, drowsiness, seizures, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Later progressive symptoms may include pain in your upper stomach, dark colored urine, yellowing of your skin or the white patches in your eyes, liver damage and in rare cases, it can also lead to coma. So, by any chance, if you have accidentally taken more than the required dose of Flexinol inform your doctor immediately.
Although it's believed that Flexinol works mainly in the central nervous system (Brain and Spine). It prevents the release of prostaglandin, which is responsible for increasing pain and body temperature. It effectively reduces the intensity of pain signals to the brain.
