Adp Information

Adp is a prescription medicine that is available as a Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of High BP. Other than this, Adp has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

It works by inhibiting the movement of calcium into vascular smooth muscle cells and cardiac cells which inhibits the contraction of cardiac muscle and vascular smooth muscle and reduce electrical conduction within heart cell and dilate blood vessel. Dilation of the blood vessel reduces the blood pressure.

Does Adp cause edema?

Yes, Adp can cause edema. It is the most common side effects of this drug. Usually swelling occurs in feet and ankle. If these effects cause troublesome, then consult your doctor regarding whether this effect arises due to amlodipine consumption or not. If yes, then you can stop taking this medicine with the help of doctor because of alternate treatment are also available. However, it is dose-related effects if taken a low dose, chances of edema are very less if consuming high dose the chances of edema are high.

What is Adp?

Adp is a brand name of amlodipine. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medications called calcium channel blocker. It is available in solid oral dosage forms like tablet and capsule. It is used in the treatment of high blood pressure (high BP) and coronary artery disease. It is not recommended for heart failure.
