Dermovate Information
Dermovate is a prescription medicine that is available as a Cream, Ointment. It is typically used for the treatment of Psoriasis, Eczema, Dermatitis. Other than this, Dermovate has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

Yes, Dermovate might cause dry skin in few cases only. However, the exact cause behind dry skin is unknown. If you are experiencing excessive dryness of skin after applying this drug then you are advised to use a skin moisturizer. Skin moisturizer should be applied only after 30 minutes of applying this drug so that the Dermovate can be absorbed by the skin.

Yes, Dermovate might lighten skin because it causes skin atrophy (skin thinning) which reduces the darkness of the skin. However, Dermovate is not approved for skin lightening and should not be used for this purpose because it can cause unpleasant side effects.

How to apply Dermovate?

Dermovate should be applied 1 - 2 times a day or as advised by your doctor. Dermovate should be applied after cleaning the infected area, allow it to dry, and then gently rub the medication till it disappears. Do not forget to wash your hands after applying this drug.
