Testosterone works by restoring the normal levels of this hormone in the body which helps in regulating the normal growth, development of male organs and maintenance of secondary sex characteristics. It also helps in regulating the production of sperms in males.

Testosterone is a brand name of testosterone and it comes in the form of tablet and injection. It belongs to the class of drugs known as androgens. It is a prescription drug that is given as testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for management of hypogonadism which is a condition in which the reproductive organs such as testes and ovaries are not able to produce testosterone in sufficient quantity or not at all due to any defect or medical condition. It is also used for the treatment of delayed growth and puberty in males and inoperable mammary cancer in women.
