Yes, Vepan might be used to treat sinusitis (sinus infection) which is inflammation of cavities situated around the nasal passages due to infection caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae. However, because of its poor activity against these bacteria Vepan is not recommended usually for the treatment of sinus infection (sinusitis).
Discontinuing Vepan on your own can increase the chances of bacterial resistance and infection relapse. It is recommended that you always consult your doctor if you have decided to discontinue this medicine.
Yes, Vepan can treat uncomplicated urinary tract infections which is an infection of the urinary system caused by bacteria Escherichia coli. It works by preventing the cell wall synthesis in bacteria by binding to specific proteins (penicillin-binding proteins). The cell wall protects the bacteria from the environment, in the absence of this cell wall, the bacteria becomes vulnerable and dies.
Yes Vepan can be taken with diphenhydramine. Diphenhydramine does not appear to interfere with the efficacy of Vepan. Hence, it is alright to take them together. However, if you feel any discomfort after taking this drug do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
No Vepan does not cause dizziness. It has not been reported by the patients who are taking this drug.
