G Cet Plus is primarily not used to treat a common cold and sore throat. It can only relieve cold-related symptoms such as a fever, headache, earache, and aching joints. It doesn't help in relieving cough or stuffy nose.

Can I use G Cet Plus with an antihistamine?

Yes, G Cet Plus can be taken safely with a less sedative antihistaminic drug like cetirizine and loratadine etc. No harmful effects are reported. However, another group of antihistamine drug which causes drowsiness and sleepiness like chlorpheniramine, diphenhydramine etc. should not be taken together unless and until recommended by your doctor.

What is the treatment for G Cet Plus poisoning?

As we know G Cet Plus is most widely used 'over-the-counter' analgesic/antipyretic medicine. However, paracetamol overdose can cause serious adverse effects on the liver, it may be fatal. But fortunately, there is an antidote, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) given within 8 hours of G Cet Plus ingestion which usually can prevent all serious side effects of G Cet Plus poisoning. However, do not take NAC without consulting a doctor as your doctor will tell you the right way and methods to help you relieve from this drug poisoning.
