Due to lack of research, nothing can be said about side effects of consuming alcohol while taking Maxel G.
Maxel G contains clobetasol which is presumed to work by promoting the induction of inhibitory proteins (lipocortins) in the body. Lipocortins prevents the release of arachidonic acid which causes synthesis and release of certain chemicals such as histamine, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins that causes inflammation. In this way Maxel G prevents the skin inflammation which provides relief to the patient from rash, itching, and redness.
No, Maxel G does not cause yeast infections. It has not been reported by the patients who are taking this drug.
Yes, Maxel G is a steroid. It contains clobetasol which is a potent corticosteroid. It should not be confused with anabolic-androgenic steroids which are used by some bodybuilders without prescription to build muscle mass.
No, Maxel G alone should not be used for ringworm because it is a fungal infection of the skin caused by fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum and Maxel G is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Maxel G should not be used for the treatment of ringworm. For the treatment of ringworm, you can use a combination of Maxel G and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.
Yes, Maxel G might cause hair loss (alopecia). It is a rare side effect of this drug and the exact cause behind hair loss is unknown. For partial hair loss, you are advised to use hair solution such as minoxidil.
