Medabon blocks the action of progesterone hormone which is responsible for maintaining the pregnancy. Progesterone prepares the uterus to receive and sustain the fertilized egg and is an important hormone for sustaining a pregnancy. It also terminates early pregnancy by blocking the activity of progesterone and progesterone receptors. Additionally, it also stimulates the contraction of the uterus.
No harmful interactions are found between Medabon and alcohol, it does not reduce the effectiveness of the drug.
