Am T Information

Am T is a prescription medicine that is available as a Tablet. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of High BP, Angina.

The right dosage of Am T depends on the age, gender, and medical history of the patient. Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. Refer to the dosage section for a detailed discussion.

Am T also has some side effects, the most common being Headache, Fatigue, Abdominal Pain. Some other side effects of Am T have been listed ahead. Usually, these side effects of Am T go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. Consult your doctor if these side effects become worse or stay for a longer duration.

How does Am T work?

Am T is calcium channel blocker. It works by inhibiting the movement of calcium into vascular smooth muscle cells and cardiac cells which inhibits the contraction of cardiac muscle and vascular smooth muscle and reduce electrical conduction within heart cell and dilate blood vessel. Dilation of the blood vessel reduces the blood pressure.

Does Am T cause diabetes?

No, Am T does not cause diabetes. It has not been reported to cause diabetes. However, Am T might increase your blood sugar levels slightly, healthy people can tolerate it easily while diabetic patients might face some spike in blood sugar levels. So, if you have diabetes keep a check on your blood sugar levels and in case of a sudden spike inform your doctor and take medicines accordingly.
