Centagesic is an anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic. It works by blocking the synthesis of prostaglandin (a chemical messenger which is responsible for pain and inflammation) by competitive inhibition of the enzyme (COX Enzyme) which is responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandin. Hence in this way, it prevents inflammation and pain.
