Frusis Information

Frusis is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet. Secondary and off-label uses of Frusis have also been mentioned below.

The correct dosage of Frusis depends on the patient's age, gender, and medical history. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. Refer to the dosage section for a detailed discussion.

Frusis is a brand name of Spironolactone and it comes in different forms of the tablet. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of drugs called potassium-sparing diuretics (water pill). It is used for the treatment of edema (swelling due to the accumulation of excessive fluid) associated with diseases such as congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, and nephrotic syndrome. It is also used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).

However, the exact cause behind this is unknown but it is presumed that Frusis decreases the sensitivity of insulin towards glucose which causes a rise in blood sugar levels.
