Yes, Foligain can be used with oil. Oil must be applied after 2-4 hours of the application of Foligain so that it can be absorbed by the skin. If you apply oil soon after applying Foligain then it might affect the absorption of this drug from the site of application.
Apply 1ml of Foligain on the dried affected area of the head two times in a day or as advised by your doctor. The oral form of Foligain has to be once daily with or without the food as the presence of food does not affect the absorption of this drug from the stomach.
Foligain contains minoxidil which is a vasodilator and it works by causing dilation of blood vessels which reduces the blood pressure. For hair loss, it is presumed that Foligain works by directly stimulating the resting hair follicles and increasing blood flow in the skin of the applied area which promotes hair follicles growth.
