Yes, Avas can be taken with ibuprofen. No harmful drug interaction has been reported between them. However, if you feel any discomfort after taking ibuprofen do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
No, Avas does not cause diabetes. It has not been reported to cause diabetes. However, Avas might increase your blood sugar levels slightly. So, if you have diabetes keep a check on your blood sugar levels and in case of a sudden spike inform your doctor and take medicines accordingly.
Avas works by inhibiting an enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) which is responsible for cholesterol synthesis in our body, its inhibition results in increased levels of HDL (good cholesterol) and decreased levels of LDL (bad cholesterol) which lowers the risk of developing heart disease and helps in preventing strokes
