Interaction between Food and Orapen
When consumed with certain foods, Orapen may take longer to have an effect. Contact your doctor about this.
Interaction between Alcohol and Orapen
Consult your doctor before consuming alcohol while taking Orapen as it can have severe side effects.
Discontinuing Orapen on your own can increase the chances of bacterial resistance and infection relapse. It is recommended that you always consult your doctor if you have decided to discontinue this medicine.
Orapen can be taken with doxycycline. No drug-drug interactions are reported between them. Doxycyclin also does not affect the absorption of this drug. However, it doesn't mean that no interaction could exist. Please consult your doctor, if you feel any complication after consuming these two medicines at the same time.
Yes, you can take Orapen for UTI infection. It is the first-line drug for treating UTI infection. It is active against the bacteria which causes UTI infection. However, you must follow the entire course of this medicine and do not discontinue medication without consulting your doctor.
It is recommended to avoid taking Orapen with azithromycin because it can cause heart-related problems. However, if your doctor has prescribed it to you take it as per his/her advice. In case you are experiencing breathing difficulties, palpitations and pain in the chest please inform your doctor immediately.
Do not take Orapen along with milk. It reduces the effectiveness of medicine by reducing the absorption of a drug. Please consult your doctor before consuming this medicine with milk.
