No, Clonate alone should not be used for ringworm because it is a fungal infection of the skin caused by fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum and Clonate is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Clonate should not be used for the treatment of ringworm. For the treatment of ringworm, you can use a combination of Clonate and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.
Clonate should be applied 1 - 2 times a day or as advised by your doctor. Clonate should be applied after cleaning the infected area, allow it to dry, and then gently rub the medication till it disappears. Do not forget to wash your hands after applying this drug.
