Acmetum Information

Acmetum is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Injection. Acmetum also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

The optimal dosage of Acmetum is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. The condition it has been prescribed for, and the route of administration also determine the right dosage. Refer to the dosage section for a detailed discussion.

Acmetum also has some side effects, the most common being Diarrhoea, Stomach Upset. Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Acmetum as well, which are listed below.   • Before or After Meal: As advised by a physician
  • Single Maximum Dose: 1500 mg
  • Dosage Route: Parenteral
  • Frequency: 2 daily
  • Course Duration: 7 days
  • Special Instructions: Dosage strength: Cefoperazone (1000mg) + Sulbactam (500mg), generally 1:1 ratio doses are used
2 - 12 years (Child)
  • Disease: Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
  • Before or After Meal: As advised by a physician
  • Single Maximum Dose: 30 mg/kg
  • Dosage Route: Parenteral
  • Frequency: 2 daily
  • Course Duration: 7 days
  • Special Instructions: Generally dose are given in 1:1 ratio
Adult
