Cipflam Information

Cipflam is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet. Other than this, Cipflam has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

The optimal dosage of Cipflam is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. This information has been provided in detail in the dosage section.

The most common side effects of Cipflam are Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhoea, Constipation. While these are the most often observed Cipflam side effects, there are can be others also. Cipflam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which is used for the treatment of tenderness, swelling, stiffness, and pain associated with osteoarthritis in which there is a breakdown of the lining of the joints, and rheumatoid arthritis in which there is swelling of the lining of the joints. It is also used for alleviation of the menstrual pain, before and during the menstrual cycle. It is also used to relieve fever and pain associated with a headache, minor aches, sprains, common cold, toothache, and backache. It also shows the antiplatelet effect which means it prevents the formation of blood clots. Cipflam is used for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis (a chronic skin disease causing scaling and swelling), gouty arthritis (which develops from the built up of some chemical in the joints) and ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis that affects the spine).

Does Cipflam increase the risk of heart disease?

Yes, the risk of a heart disease increases with the intake of Cipflam, especially during a long-term use, in comparison to those people who do not use Cipflam. The drug should be avoided if you have had a history heart attack or cardiac ailments. You must inform your doctor if someone in your family had a heart attack or a stroke, if you smoke, or if you have ever had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
