Detrusitol is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet, Capsule. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Overactive Bladder Syndrome. The alternative uses of Detrusitol have also been explained below.
The optimal dosage of Detrusitol is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.
While these are the most often observed Detrusitol side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below. Normally, these side effects of Detrusitol are not long lasting and go away when the treatment is finished. Consult your doctor if these side effects become worse or stay for a longer duration.
In addition, Detrusitol's effect is Moderate during pregnancy and Severe for lactating mothers. It is important to know if Detrusitol has any effect on the kidney, liver and heart. Information on such adverse effects, if any, has been given in the Detrusitol related warnings section.
Detrusitol is not recommended if you suffer from certain medical conditions as it can have adverse effects. Kidney Disease, Glaucoma, GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) are examples of such conditions. The section on Detrusitol contraindications lists all such conditions.
