Dezacor comes as a tablet and a suspension (liquid) and it should be taken by mouth once daily or as advised by your doctor. Precautions must be taken in patients with improper liver or kidney function, hypertension and diabetes. Do no take deflazacort with grapefruit juice (chakotra). Grapefruit juice may increase the blood levels of this medicine which can lead to very unpleasant side effects.
Yes, Dezacor have been reported to be more effective than prednisolone in people with diabetes.
Ideally Dezacor can be taken with food or without food because its absorption is not affected by the food. However, you are recommended to take it as per doctor's instructions.
