Igat Information

Igat is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Drops. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Conjunctivitis. The alternative uses of Igat have also been explained below.

Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Igat. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. This information has been provided in detail in the dosage section.

Igat also has some side effects, the most common being Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhoea, Dizziness. While these are the most often observed Igat side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below. Usually, these side effects of Igat go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. However, if these continue for a longer time, consult your doctor right away.

Igat's effect during pregnancy is Moderate and Severe while nursing. It is important to know if Igat has any effect on the kidney, liver and heart. Information on such adverse effects, if any, has been given in the Igat related warnings section.

Igat is contraindicated in people with pre-existing medical conditions like Myasthenia Gravis (MG), Brain and Nervous System, Tendon Injury (Tendinopathy) as it can result in adverse effects. The section on Igat contraindications lists all such conditions.

This is the usual dosage recommended in most common treatment cases. Please remember that every patient and their case is different, so the dosage can be different based on the disease, route of administration, patient's age and medical history.
