Met Xl Am is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet. Met Xl Am also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

The right dosage of Met Xl Am depends on the age, gender, and medical history of the patient. The condition it has been prescribed for, and the route of administration also determine the right dosage. For detailed information on this, read through the dosage section.

Common side effects of Met Xl Am include Slow heart rate (pulse). While these are the most often observed Met Xl Am side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below. These side effects of Met Xl Am are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. If, however, they worsen or do not go away, please speak with your physician.

It is also important to note that Met Xl Am has a Severe effect for pregnant women and Mild effect on lactating mothers. In addition, Met Xl Am's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Met Xl Am related warnings section.

Met Xl Am is contraindicated in people with pre-existing medical conditions like Low Blood Pressure (Hypotension), Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), Liver Disease as it can result in adverse effects. Other conditions have been mentioned below in the Met Xl Am contraindications section.
