Piotab is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Diabetes Type 2. Secondary and off-label uses of Piotab have also been mentioned below.
The right dosage of Piotab depends on the age, gender, and medical history of the patient. Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. Refer to the dosage section for a detailed discussion.
Piotab also has some side effects, the most common being Headache, Muscle Ache. Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Piotab as well, which are listed below. Usually, these side effects of Piotab go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.
Furthermore, you should know that effect of Piotab is Moderate for pregnant women and Moderate for women who are breastfeeding. In addition, Piotab's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Piotab related warnings section.
Piotab can cause adverse effects in certain medical conditions. It is strongly recommended to avoid Piotab in conditions like Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Bladder Cancer, Diabetes Type 1. The section on Piotab contraindications lists all such conditions.
