    Sibofix is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet, Suspension. It is typically used for the treatment of Hepatic Encephalopathy. Other than this, Sibofix has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

    Sibofix is a brand name of rifaximin and it comes in the form of tablet and syrup. It is a prescription drug and a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is used in the prevention of travelers’ diarrhea (TD) caused by bacteria Escherichia coli and to reduce the risk of hepatic encephalopathy (a brain disorder that causes decline in functioning of the brain due to accumulation of ammonia in which results from the liver damage) along with lactulose.
