Telpil H is the brand name for telmisartan. It belongs to a group of medications known as angiotensin II receptor blockers. It is available in the form of tablets. Telpil H is used to treat hypertension. It is also used to decrease cardiovascular risk in patients who cannot take ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) inhibitors.
Yes, Telpil H causes hyperkalemia (high amount of potassium in the blood). Therefore, monitoring of blood potassium levels is important during Telpil H therapy.
