Yes, Viclob might cause dry skin in few cases only. However, the exact cause behind dry skin is unknown. If you are experiencing excessive dryness of skin after applying this drug then you are advised to use a skin moisturizer. Skin moisturizer should be applied only after 30 minutes of applying this drug so that the Viclob can be absorbed by the skin.

Does Viclob lighten skin?

Yes, Viclob might lighten skin because it causes skin atrophy (skin thinning) which reduces the darkness of the skin. However, Viclob is not approved for skin lightening and should not be used for this purpose because it can cause unpleasant side effects.

Can Viclob be used for ringworm?

No, Viclob alone should not be used for ringworm because it is a fungal infection of the skin caused by fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum and Viclob is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Viclob should not be used for the treatment of ringworm. For the treatment of ringworm, you can use a combination of Viclob and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.
