No, Dilminox should not be used on the same day of PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatment because the scalp has been injected with activated platelets. Hence, the use of any topical substance up to 24 hours of the procedure is not recommended by dermatologists. You can continue use Dilminox from the next day of the procedure or as advised by your doctor.

Yes, Dilminox can be used with oil. Oil must be applied after 2-4 hours of the application of Dilminox so that it can be absorbed by the skin. If you apply oil soon after applying Dilminox then it might affect the absorption of this drug from the site of application.

Yes, Dilminox might be used for telogen effluvium (temporary hair thinning mostly on the top of the scalp). Dilminox is only approved for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia and you are advised to consult with a doctor first before using this drug for telogen effluvium.

Can Dilminox cause hair loss?

Yes, Dilminox may cause temporary hair loss for up to 2 weeks initially after starting of the treatment in few cases only. This is due to hair shifting from the resting phase to the growth phase. Consider this as a sign that your old hairs are falling so that new hairs can regrow in their place. If the hair loss continues for more than 2 weeks then you are advised to discuss it with your doctor.
