Farozet Information

Farozet is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Bronchitis. Farozet also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

Is Farozet used to treat UTI?

Yes, Farozet can treat UTI (urinary tract infection) but it is not generally preferred as a first line drug of choice for the treatment of UTI. It is only prescribed in UTI when other drugs are not effective in treating the infection or the severity of infection is very high.

Can I stop/discontinue Farozet on my own or without doctors advice?

Discontinuing Farozet in between may promote resistant to bacteria which result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the course even after getting symptomatic relief. However, if you are experiencing excessive diarrhea after consuming this medicine inform the doctor immediately and check if you can discontinue the medicine.
