Rekron Information

Rekron is a prescription drug, available for use as Syrup. Nausea and Vomiting are some of its major therapeutic uses.

The optimal dosage of Rekron is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. For detailed information on this, read through the dosage section.

How to take Rekron?

Rekron is available in form of tablet, syrup, and injection. It should be taken as per your doctor's instructions. Ideally, Rekron has to be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. The initial dose is usually taken half an hour before chemotherapy, 1 to 2 hours before radiation therapy and 1 hour before a surgery. Additional doses can be suggested by the doctor as per the individual requirements.

Can Rekron be used for anxiety?

Yes, Rekron can be used for the symptom alleviation in anxiety, however, more clinical trials are needed to confirm this association. Is Rekron safe for children?

Yes, Rekron is safe to be used in children from 6 months to 12 years of age. Apart from preventing nausea and vomiting related to chemotherapy and radiation, Rekron can be used in this population group for managing acute gastritis. Acute gastritis presents itself as a self-limited infection with vomiting leading to dehydration and electrolyte imbalances. Always check with a child specialist and do not administer this drug yourself.

Does Rekron cause headache?

Yes, headache is one of the common side effects of Rekron. Apply balms and take a mild painkiller if a headache is of throbbing nature. Additionally, headaches can be prevented by doing yoga and meditation, by keeping away from electronic gadgets and computers, by eating light food and listening to relaxing music.
