The optimal dosage of Gaticin is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. This information has been provided in detail in the dosage section.
Common side effects of Gaticin include Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhoea, Dizziness. While these are the most often observed Gaticin side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below. Such side effects of Gaticin normally do not last long and go away once the treatment is completed. However, if these continue for a longer time, consult your doctor right away.
In addition, Gaticin's effect is Moderate during pregnancy and Severe for lactating mothers. It is important to know if Gaticin has any effect on the kidney, liver and heart. Information on such adverse effects, if any, has been given in the Gaticin related warnings section.
Gaticin is contraindicated in people with pre-existing medical conditions like Myasthenia Gravis (MG), Brain and Nervous System, Tendon Injury (Tendinopathy) as it can result in adverse effects. Some other conditions that can be affected by Gaticin are listed in the contraindications section below.
