Imiz works by suppressing abnormal activity of nerve cells in the brain through the increase in activity of a chemical messenger known as GABA. This calms the brain and provides relief to the patient.
Imiz comes as a tablet, extended-release (long-acting) capsule, and concentrate (liquid), it should be taken by mouth. It is usually taken 1 to 4 times in a day or as advised by your doctor. Precautions must be taken in patients with chronic pulmonary insufficiency, personality disorders, muscle weakness, impaired liver or kidney function. Do not drive any vehicle or operate machinery after taking this medicine as it can cause drowsiness or sedation.
