Ambrolite D Information
Ambrolite D is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Syrup. It is primarily used for the treatment of Cough, Common Cold. Other than this, Ambrolite D has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.
The optimal dosage of Ambrolite D is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. Refer to the dosage section for a detailed discussion.
Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Ambrolite D as well, which are listed below. Usually, these side effects of Ambrolite D go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.
It is also important to note that Ambrolite D has a Moderate effect for pregnant women and Moderate effect on lactating mothers. In addition, Ambrolite D's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Ambrolite D related warnings section.

If you develop diarrhea while taking Ambrolite D, Drink plenty of fluids and avoid spicy food. If you are experiencing excessive diarrhoea after taking this drug, consult your doctor immediately without any further delay.

No, Ambrolite D is not suitable for a patient with asthma. Ambrolite D is suitable for treating cough originating from cold and flu. It is not suitable for treating cough due to smoking or asthma. Asthma is generally treated with two type of medication which are long-term control and quick-relief medicine. For long-term control, medicine helps reduce airway inflammation and prevent asthma symptoms where quick-relief medicine helps sudden relief from asthmatic symptoms.

No, Ambrolite D is not safe for infants as the safety and efficacy are yet to be established in infants and young children. It can be, however, given to children above 4 years of age but one should give Ambrolite D to children only after consulting a doctor. In addition, if you are giving more than two products to a child then make sure that none of the ingredients is present in both because then it may lead to an overdose.
