Geryl Information

Geryl is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet. Urinary Tract Infection, Ear Infection, Bacterial Infections are some of its major therapeutic uses. The alternative uses of Geryl have also been explained below.

The optimal dosage of Geryl is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.

Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Geryl as well, which are listed below. Normally, these side effects of Geryl are not long lasting and go away when the treatment is finished. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.

Can I take Geryl with metformin?

Geryl should be taken with a meal. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. Drinking extra water will help prevent some unwanted effects of this medicine. Do not take this medicine along with milk, yogurt, or other dairy products, it may reduce the absorption of a drug. Take it exactly as directed by the physician.

Does Geryl contain penicillin?

No, Geryl does not contain penicillin. It is an antibiotic that belongs to the class of medication called fluoroquinolone. It used to treat several types of bacterial infection such as such as bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary, respiratory, skin, gastrointestinal, anthrax, bone, and eye infections.
