Yes, you can take it with seafood safely if you are not allergic to seafood. However, there is a lot of scientific evidence that Amlibon AT has shown very strong interaction with grapefruit juice hence you are highly recommended to avoid grapefruit juice with this drug.
Amlibon AT is calcium channel blocker. It works by inhibiting the movement of calcium into vascular smooth muscle cells and cardiac cells which inhibits the contraction of cardiac muscle and vascular smooth muscle and reduce electrical conduction within heart cell and dilate blood vessel. Dilation of the blood vessel reduces the blood pressure.
No, use of Amlibon AT has not been associated with memory loss. But if you are in doubt do discuss with your doctor to check for underlying medical conditions resulting in memory loss.
Yes, Amlibon AT can cause edema. It is the most common side effects of this drug. Usually swelling occurs in feet and ankle. If these effects cause troublesome, then consult your doctor regarding whether this effect arises due to amlodipine consumption or not. If yes, then you can stop taking this medicine with the help of doctor because of alternate treatment are also available. However, it is dose-related effects if taken a low dose, chances of edema are very less if consuming high dose the chances of edema are high.
Amlibon AT comes in form of a tablet and ideally, it should be taken by mouth once daily as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with food or without food at any time of the day. Precautions must be taken in patients with liver disease, diabetes, and hypothyroidism.
