No, Clop MG alone should not be used for ringworm because it is a fungal infection of the skin caused by fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum and Clop MG is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Clop MG should not be used for the treatment of ringworm. For the treatment of ringworm, you can use a combination of Clop MG and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.
Yes, Clop MG is a steroid. It contains clobetasol which is a potent corticosteroid. It should not be confused with anabolic-androgenic steroids which are used by some bodybuilders without prescription to build muscle mass.
Clop MG should be applied 1 - 2 times a day or as advised by your doctor. Clop MG should be applied after cleaning the infected area, allow it to dry, and then gently rub the medication till it disappears. Do not forget to wash your hands after applying this drug.
Yes, Clop MG might cause dry skin in few cases only. However, the exact cause behind dry skin is unknown. If you are experiencing excessive dryness of skin after applying this drug then you are advised to use a skin moisturizer.
