Taking Cortel 20 Mg Tablet (15) with alcohol can have severely harmful effects on your health.
Cortel contains telmisartan which is an antihypertensive drug that works by preventing a chemical (angiotensin II) to bind with a receptor. This causes relaxation of blood vessels, it also prevents the synthesis and release of aldosterone (a hormone whose hyperactivity results in high blood pressure). In this way Cortel decreases the blood pressure.

Yes, Cortel causes hyperkalemia (high amount of potassium in the blood). Therefore, monitoring of blood potassium levels is important during Cortel therapy.
