If you are experiencing lightheadedness or blurry vision (symptoms of low blood pressure) after taking this drug then try to sit down and take rest for a while till it subsides.
No, use of Dulocent does not cause weight gain. It has not been reported by the patients who are taking this drug. However, if you notice any unusual weight gain after taking this drug then it might be due to some other medical condition. You are advised to discuss it with your doctor.
Dulocent is a brand name of tramadol and it comes in the form of a tablet, capsule, and injection. It belongs to the class of drug known as an opioid analgesic. It is a prescription drug that is used to provide relief from moderate to severe pain.
Dulocent contains tramadol which is an opioid analgesic (pain-killer). It is presumed that tramadol provides relief from pain by binding to certain receptors (mu-opioid receptors) in our brain and by preventing the reuptake of chemical messengers (neurotransmitters) serotonin and norepinephrine. In this way Dulocent provides relief to the patient from moderate to severe pain.
Rarely, Dulocent causes dry mouth because it decreases the saliva secretion in your mouth. It is an uncommon side effect of this drug. If you experience excessive dry mouth after taking this drug, keep yourself well hydrated with juices, shakes and plenty of water.
