Yes, Metograf Am can be taken with telmisartan. As per clinical studies, no harmful interaction has been reported after taking them. However, do not take it without doctors advise. A fixed-dose combination of Metograf Am and telmisartan is available in the market which is used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).
Metograf Am is calcium channel blocker. It works by inhibiting the movement of calcium into vascular smooth muscle cells and cardiac cells which inhibits the contraction of cardiac muscle and vascular smooth muscle and reduce electrical conduction within heart cell and dilate blood vessel. Dilation of the blood vessel reduces the blood pressure.
Metograf Am is a brand name of amlodipine. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medications called calcium channel blocker.
