Can I take Phenzee with amitriptyline?

No, it is recommended that you do not take Phenzee with amitriptyline which is an antidepressant with anticholinergic effects. Since Phenzee also has anticholinergic effects, both the drugs produce additive effects such as dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, etc.

How to take Phenzee?

Phenzee is available in the form of injectable, tablets and syrups to be taken orally, as a suppository to be taken rectally. When taken for treating allergies, it is taken 1 to 4 times a day usually before meals or at bedtime. When used for treating cold, it is taken every 4 to 6 hours. When used for treating motion sickness, it is taken 30 to 60 minutes before travel and again after 8 to 10 hours if required. Phenzee might also be taken at bedtime before surgery to feel relaxed and sleep properly. The suppositories are meant for rectal use. Do not use them in any other body cavity. If using Phenzee liquid, avoid using a household spoon and use the measuring cup that is dispensed with the syrup. The Phenzee should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Can I take Phenzee with citalopram?

Citalopram is an antidepressant which interacts with Phenzee causing increased serotonin levels in the blood. This can cause adverse cardiac effects like high blood pressure, an increase in the heart rate and this might lead to shock.

Yes, Phenzee can cause heart problems. Phenzee causes vasodilation (blood vessel dilation which results in a drop in blood pressure). At therapeutic dose, Phenzee decreases the muscular contractions. Phenzee may also increase the heart rate. Phenzee also causes some ECG changes like QT and PR interval prolongation and ST segment depression
