Propeg is a brand name of medroxyprogesterone and it comes in the form of tablet and injection. It belongs to the class of drug known as progestins. It is a prescription drug that is used for the treatment of menorrhagia (abnormally heavy bleeding), secondary amenorrhoea (absence of periods over the duration of three months or more), and endometrial hyperplasia (overgrown lining of the uterus). It is also used for contraception (a method of birth control) and off-label for the treatment of paraphilia (abnormal sexual behavior).
