Protadec is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Injection. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Post Menopausal Osteoporosis, Anemia. The alternative uses of Protadec have also been explained below.
The optimal dosage of Protadec is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. The condition it has been prescribed for, and the route of administration also determine the right dosage. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.
Protadec also has some side effects, the most common being Nausea or vomiting, Fluid Retention. Apart from the aforementioned side effects, Protadec can also lead to other problems, which have been listed below. Usually, these side effects of Protadec go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.
In addition, Protadec's effect is Severe during pregnancy and Moderate for lactating mothers. It is important to know if Protadec has any effect on the kidney, liver and heart. Information on such adverse effects, if any, has been given in the Protadec related warnings section.
