Rapo D contains domperidone (dopamine D2-receptor antagonist). It works by inhibiting the neurotransmitter dopamine (a chemical messenger present in our body) from acting on the vomiting center present in the brain thus preventing nausea and vomiting which provides relief to the patient from nausea and vomiting.
Yes, Rapo D can cause dry mouth. It is a rare side effect of this drug. If you experience severe dry mouth after taking this drug, keep yourself hydrated with juices, shakes, and ample water.
No, Rapo D does not cause high blood sugar (hyperglycemia). It has not been reported by the patients who are taking it. You are advised to monitor your blood sugar level on daily basis.
