Tini Ds works by generating compounds known as toxic free radicals which destroy the DNA of protozoa. This results in the death of the protozoa.
Tini Ds is the brand name for tinidazole. It belongs to a class of drugs known as antiprotozoals. It is available in the form of an infusion, suspension, and tablet. Tini Ds is used for the treatment of trichomoniasis cause by T. vaginalis, in both the genders. It is also used for the treatment of giardiasis caused by G. duodenalis, and intestinal amebiasis and amebic liver abscess caused by E. histolytica, in adults as well as children older than 3 years.
