No, Torget is not potassium sparing. Rather, it is a loop diuretic that removes excess of water and electrolytes like potassium from the body. One may need to eat potassium-rich foods or a potassium supplement while one uses Torget. Spironolactone is a potassium-sparing diuretic which prevents the loss of potassium from the body.

Yes, Torget may cause allergy in rare cases. The symptoms could be rash, itching, dizziness, swelling of the tongue, throat, and face, difficulty in breathing, etc. If you experience any of these symptoms, discontinue using Torget and talk to your doctor immediately.

No, Torget does not cause kidney damage, in fact, it helps in managing edema resulting from kidney disease, heart disease, and lung disease. In comparison to furosemide, Torget has a longer duration of action and doesn't get accumulated in the renal failure.
