Rarely, Tozam causes arrhythmia (Irregular heartbeat). However, if you experience any fluctuation in heart rate after consuming this drug, please inform to a doctor and follow his/her instructions.
Tozam is calcium channel blocker. It works by inhibiting the movement of calcium into vascular smooth muscle cells and cardiac cells which inhibits the contraction of cardiac muscle and vascular smooth muscle and reduce electrical conduction within heart cell and dilate blood vessel. Dilation of the blood vessel reduces the blood pressure.
Yes, you can take it with seafood safely if you are not allergic to seafood. However, there is a lot of scientific evidence that Tozam has shown very strong interaction with grapefruit juice hence you are highly recommended to avoid grapefruit juice with this drug.
No, use of Tozam has not been associated with memory loss. But if you are in doubt do discuss with your doctor to check for underlying medical conditions resulting in memory loss.
