Uvacef L is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Urinary Tract Infection, Bronchitis, Urinary Tract Infection. Other than this, Uvacef L has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

Yes, Uvacef L is safe to use, if taken prescribed quantity for the prescribed duration as directed by a doctor. However, few known side effects have been observed such as stomach upset, nausea. vomiting, and bleeding. If you are experiencing any of the above-mentioned side effects inform your doctor immediately.
Yes, Uvacef L can be taken for a cough, if it is associated with infection caused by bacteria. However, if a cough gets severe and does not subside after taking this drug. Do consult a doctor for the right treatment.
Rarely Uvacef L can cause neurotoxicity. It is a reversible side effect of this drug, the symptoms caused due to drug-induced neurotoxicity often disappear after this drug is stopped. However, if you experience convulsions, agitation, weakness and severe nausea do not hesitate to inform your doctor without any further delay.
Uvacef L does not help in preventing cold, because common cold is a viral infection. However, the drug can help in bringing relief from symptoms of cold, if it is associated with a bacterial infection. To treat cold take ample rest, maintain proper hygiene, gargle with saline water and seek medical advice if common cold symptoms persist for more than 7-8 days.
Occasionally, Uvacef L can cause drug-induced thrombocytopenia (blood clot formation in a vessel). However, if you experience severe thrombocytopenia after taking this medicine, please immediately seek medical help.
