While these are the most often observed Zenotin side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below. Normally, these side effects of Zenotin are not long lasting and go away when the treatment is finished. If, however, they worsen or do not go away, please speak with your physician.
It is also important to note that Zenotin has a Moderate effect for pregnant women and Moderate effect on lactating mothers. In addition, Zenotin's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Zenotin related warnings section.
Zenotin is not recommended if you suffer from certain medical conditions as it can have adverse effects. Atrial Fibrillation, Heart Failure, Myasthenia Gravis (MG) are examples of such conditions. No, Zenotin is not a painkiller. It is an antibiotic that belongs to the class of medications called fluoroquinolone.
Yes, you can take Zenotin for UTI infection. It is the first-line drug for treating UTI infection. It is active against the bacteria which causes UTI infection. However, you must follow the entire course of this medicine and do not discontinue medication without consulting your doctor.
Yes, long-term use of Zenotin can increase the risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture in some people. However, the exact mechanism of tendon rupture is not known. If you suffer from tendon rupture or any kind of muscular pain after consuming this drug, please consult your doctor immediately.
Zenotin can be taken with doxycycline. No drug-drug interactions are reported between them. Doxycyclin also does not affect the absorption of this drug. However, it doesn't mean that no interaction could exist. Please consult your doctor, if you feel any complication after consuming these two medicines at the same time.
Zenotin should be taken with a meal. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. Drinking extra water will help prevent some unwanted effects of this medicine. Do not take this medicine along with milk, yogurt, or other dairy products, it may reduce the absorption of a drug. Take it exactly as directed by the physician.
