Meclomide contains metoclopramide which is an antiemetic agent that prevents from nausea and vomiting by inhibiting certain chemical messengers (neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin) in the brain. In diabetic gastroparesis, Meclomide works by increasing gastrointestinal motility and fasting the gastric emptying process.
