Mahaflox KT is an anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic. It works by blocking the synthesis of prostaglandin (a chemical messenger which is responsible for pain and inflammation) by competitive inhibition of the enzyme (COX Enzyme) which is responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandin. Hence in this way, it prevents inflammation and pain. Mahaflox KT exert an antipyretic effect by acting on the brain (hypothalamus that controls the body temperature in our body) which relief from the fever.

No, Mahaflox KT is not a narcotic. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which is used for the treatment of moderately severe pain. Narcotics are the natural products like opium and its derivatives, heroin, coca leaf and cannabis, synthetic drugs like pethidine, methadone, codeine, morphine. These are also prescription drugs and must be taken cautiously as these can cause an addiction.

Yes, Mahaflox KT is associated with a risk of bleeding. Since Mahaflox KT inhibits platelet function, it should not be used in people with confirmed or suspected cardiovascular bleeding and in patients with high risk of bleeding.
